Strategic Supply Chain Specialist- Gloucester, MA |
|
|
The Senior Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for examining, evaluating and determining all aspects of total cost reduction opportunities for the procurement of our products and services. This person must have demonstrated strong global supplier sourcing with an emphasis in Asia.
The primary job responsibilities will include managing key domestic and international suppliers and/or commodities for the Value Center. |

Responsibilities Include:
-
Performs cost/benefit financial analysis and make/buy analysis and makes recommendations for sourcing decisions.
-
Along with SQE, serves as a primary evaluator of potential new suppliers
-
Plays an active role in developing and overseeing supplier transition plans as needed
-
Performs supplier assessments/audits as required.
-
Performs the most critical procurements/negotiations that require the greatest degree of experience, knowledge, professionalism, and administration.
-
Plays an active role in the selection of advanced manufacturing processes, capabilities and supply chain advancements.
-
Establishes, coordinates and administers long-term purchase agreements for commodities. Negotiation of Non-Disclosure, Development and Supply Agreements.
-
Establishes relationships with key suppliers, educates suppliers on cost, quality and delivery improvement techniques.
-
Assists in the New Product Development functions during product design and introductions that involve purchased materials, tooling and services.
-
Responsible for understanding and clearly communicating developments and changes at suppliers and /or in technology that may affect his/her commodities
-
Leads or provides guidance in the supplier performance procedure activities with the top suppliers
-
Works closely with internal teams (e.g. Global Strategic Sourcing, Product Marketing, Engineering and Materials) to identify, source and implement cost reduction projects in a smooth and timely fashion.

Work with Finance to develop and implement a standard sourcing productivity metric (PPV) at each site
-
Participate in the monthly/quarterly/annual scorecard planning & reporting
-
Provides material management expertise during supplier or internal site visits as required and performs other related duties as assigned. |

Skills Required:
-
4-8 years of experience with a minimum of 6 years of direct previous buying experience. Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in a commodity focused Sourcing role in the commodity specialty. Candidate must have direct sourcing experience both on a national and international basis. Candidate must posses advanced knowledge of suppliers’ manufacturing processes and materials applications

Experience working with multi-site operations is preferred. Sourcing experience with moldings (plastic, rubber) and pump or motor components is strongly preferred.

Strong negotiation skills, price/cost analysis experience, risk assessment and management experience.
-
Excellent customer service skills. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

B. S. in Business Administration, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Facilities Management. Applicable certifications preferred (APICS, ISM, etc.)

Must have a history of international travel. |

Regional Sales Manager - Midwest |
|
Our Sales team is looking for a successful candidate in the position of Regional Sales Manager for our Mid-Western Regions to promote the sale of the Company’s Alcon, ECI, Flojet, Jabsco and Rule Industrial products to OEM’s and General Industrial distributors in the following states IL, WI, IA, MN, NE, ND, SD, IN, MI.

Requirements included:

Maintain regular contact with the Company’s accounts and develop new customers in the designated territory, ensuring that they receive effective support and service.
-
Maximize the performance of existing distributors and OEM customers through regular contact, training, motivation, encouragement and joint field sales visits.
-
Organize and provide the necessary product training to ensure effective distributor sales activity.
-
Identify new sales opportunities for the Company’s products and make recommendations for opening new distributor and OEM accounts where appropriate
-
Provide the necessary order input to achieve annual sales budgets, which have been jointly agreed upon with the National Sales Manager. Provide sales forecasting for all Flow Control Industrial products on a monthly basis.

Provide feedback on market intelligence, competitor activity and application opportunities.
-
Maintain a high level of product knowledge of both the Company’s and competitive products.
-
Provide the Industrial NSM with weekly activity report on all salient business activities. These reports will be generated through the use of contact management software or a weekly activity document.

Attend relevant exhibitions in the territory to support participating distributors and OEM’s and to provide reports on industry and competitive activities.

Maintain data on our competitor sales and pricing policies.
-
Uphold the Company’s reputation and communicate its objectives effectively at all times.
-
Sell the company’s products at the agreed price levels without deviation and approval from the Industrial NSM or Flow Control Product Management.

Manage a travel and entertainment budget in the most effective manner

Adhere to ITT Corp’s travel policy. |

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a 4 year college degree
-
5 years regional sales manager or equivalent OEM sales experience, industrial positive displacement pump sales experience or equivalent hydraulic systems experience.

History of overnight travel (50% travel required),
-
Experience with providing sales forecasting reports, and proficient in Windows software including Microsoft® Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, etc.
-
Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
-
Ability to handle multi projects and meet required deadlines. |
